3rd to 4th heavy snow shower of the day now total cover. Earlier melt turning to ice on the pavements may have something to measure tomorrow morning. Looks like a fair dry slot snow before the next shower. However with the wind things move quickly.

Accumulating in North Lincs now as the intensity of the sun has gone. Just put some stuff in the bin outside and the cold really made me skin throb.

I think drifting could be a nuisance but in Lincolnshire again, I drove across the wolds a week after the last snow and was amazed at the volume of drifts and ploughed snow on the sides of all the roads from Humberside airport to Thorpe St Peter.

Yes I'm up on the Wolds, and it is full blizzard for last half hour, visibility a few yards at most, very glad I'm not out in it, give it two hours I reckon the road will be cut off with drifts.

Persistent moderate snow now with temp down to -2.5c. Grass, cars, roof all covered nicely. Still not settling properly on roads though. Visibility very poor in strong gusty winds.

Currently in another heavy snow shower/blizzard here north of Brigg. This time it is proper snow flakes rather than graupel. It is settling nicely now too. Min 10mm across garden and drifting to a few inches deep against house. Temp has been -0.7c to -1.2c for couple of hours so no melting of snow from last heavy shower. Best snow day of the winter by far, awesome blizzards in the strong wing. Looking good for tonight if these showers continue to hit at the rate they have been all day.

Roads now covering rapidly here. Snow isn't heavy but we are under a persistent band which had made the difference.

Friend reporting an inch of snow cover in Grenoside S35.

Here in S20 at much lower altitude we’ve got a dusting from these regular showers.

Looking forward to what will greet us in the morning ?❄️?⛄️

Slap bang in the firing line all day, here just down from Scarborough. This is our accumulation so far ???. Needless to say everything has been skirting my house by a few miles north or south!

When will trough n persistent snow hit

I dont think there will be one here, it should just be these showers feeding in all night, where they align some places could get hammered

About 1cm now, plus already mini drifts of 2-3 inches.

Hopefully more on the way.... The big lump near Castleford has my name on it.
