apparantly the band is dying out rather than pushing further north?

Think that may be it now for most in our region, think my winter weather watching has now come to an end.

See you all again around november time! ?

Make sure you come back in summer for some thunderstorm watching :D

One or two snow flakes floating around however the band looks like it will die before long. If the GFS right the snow will mostly be gone by the end of Sunday for us and any remaining by Monday. However I haven't seen such a difference in temperatures before at such a short time period. Looking at the 850's and adding the normal difference backs the GFS. Before the cold spell GFS showed lower temperatures than local forecasts and Beeb and got it right. Anyway we shall see.

I don't think its over yet looking at radar, still moving north! should be steady light snow for south then west yorkshire overnight. And with sub zero temperatures will easily accumulate.

Amazing how quiet it is here considering the temperatures below freezing and we have precipitation about to reach south yorkshire (albeit mostly light.) :blink2:

Also looks like light flurries developing in the easterly wind, I ain't giving hope of another few cm just yet!

Yes remember guys what you see over the uk now isn’t what you will get when and If it moves this far north that will be well over Ireland the fall we would get if it does make it this far north is still in France or the North Sea.. it runs a lot further than the radar can see..?

A few flakes when I was on my way home with the pizza a few mins ago. Radar does appear to be waking up somewhat unexpectedly. Here's hoping!

The North Sea convection hasn't started again has it????

I bloody hope so :D lets see if a few darker blues can develop like it has over north east england. At this temperature a long spell of light snow really can accumulate like it did other night
