It looks like it’s gathering intensity perhaps this is behind the Amber and Yellow update earlier.. If that’s the case then the forcasts have been all over the shot. I don’t think it was forcast to be as high as it is already.. Time will tell I guess..

Creeping northwards... not a bad shout this morning by myself we could have snow this afternoon..!

The snow from Emma is further east than expected, no idea if that's a good or bad thing for our region. Back to radar watching....

Leeds Council told me that they expect further snow showers, but main reason for Amber warning was for drifting snow. *shrugs*

Makes sense as for instance the road that leads over the tops near the Moorside from Silsden to Addingham & Ilkley has been closed or at least was closed. I suppose when community’s and roads are getting shut off due to drifting it definitely warrants a warning.. however it would be good for them to be a little more clear.

This is making inroads north (slowly) not sure how much is in it and not sure of how far it's going to get

Its now showing right over us here in Rotherham, a few flakes look as though they're falling though it could be wind blowing snow off trees and roofs. :unknw:

How far north do  we think. All my radar contacts have crashed due to overload

I’m confused - according to both Netweather radar apps, I have snow/precipitation right over me now, yet no falling snow at all? Am I reading it wrong?

I'm not sure these echoes moving up from the south are much more than just shadows, and anyway are fading pretty quickly now.

Those in Sheffield will need to report in an hour or two. The front will either produce nothing or see enhanced precipitation.

Very light snow here in S11 (SE)

Not expecting anything tonight. Think we might see a few flurries over the weekend from the North Sea.

Had a walk down Fishbeck Lane this morning and you could get a 4x4 down maybe

I have just been out to measure the snow depth on the garden table though and we have 6.5 inches which is excellent :D

Reckon that’s what we’ve got here too

6 hours it’s taken me to get to Wakefield from London! I’ve enjoyed the seeing the snow though. Fingers crossed we get a bit more this evening
