yep paul hudson not my fav anymore hes been terrible n low beat for ages.

what a fantasti few days. deep snow n bitter. just a shame we cant finish this cold spell with a big bang!! like the south. if only she'd have moved northwards n deepened.

He's gone on holiday this week hasn't he to avoid all of this and leave it to Keeley, Abbie and Owain to take the snowballs.

If we don’t see anymore snow now I don’t think any of us can complain. Definitely the heaviest snowfall here since March 2013. ?

And come to think how many of us were complaining on Monday about the "Beast"......!!!!!

Certainly confusing regarding current forecasts.................

We have updated Met Office video forecast showing a lot of showers both tonight and tomorrow throughout the region

Then we have BBC Weather website text forecast  for Look North updated 2 hours ago which reads very snowy

Finally as mentioned above lunchtime Look North forecast more or less dry until at least Friday night!!

Decent odds in favour maybe lol

South of Sheffield and Lincoln seems to be pepping up?

Yeah, worth keeping an eye on, not seen any mention on the weather forecasts.

This website seems to think it will snow (and it's been quite good) so maybe that's the snow it's forecasting?

Looks like it, I expect this area to merge with the showers further north later, could be a very interesting evening/night to come

Definitely creeping North slowly into Sheffield. I read somewhere that a lot of the lighter snow echoes on the radar are due to lying snow blowing around. Could be the reason it looks like snow here but nothing falling.... Lots blowing around though!

Been watching the 'Yorkshire Hole' all morning. That's not you Pit! Slowly filling-in from the South but I do wonder why it's actually there? Interesting. though.

More snow falling here, probably up to 6 inches now settled. Freezing cold wind and snow blowing everywhere, the best snow since 2014 and the best cold since 2013.

I have no idea what the forecasters are looking at anymore. I suspect they think that snow wont come far into Yorkshire. It looks like they think it will fizzle out around Sheffield.

Why does the Metoffice have our region under a yellow warning for today and tomorrow? Only very light snow around and nothing really forecast,  so I am ot sure why they have issued one recently?

Good thing today is even when the snow has stopped the sun hasn't been able to melt anything!

I get the feeling it's because they aren't sure what we may or may not get or where and they are covering their backsides. They certainly got Tuesday very wrong for a lot of us and it all came weds instead.
