Really is frigid out there - already -6C with a biting wind. We just recently had a snow shower that gave another good top up of our existing cover - I'm not sure how much more we've had but it's enough to reach the curb. We also have some very good drifting - it looks like March 2013.

We are in a heatwave for now -6.5C up from -6.7C. Thankfully the winds are fairly light still.

This does really take me back to the 80s and 90s when it was like this for the winters we had then compared to now. Think I have radar watching itis ?? Bring on the snow

In Aberdeenshire they'd be queuing in their shorts and tees!

Bit of a dry gap upcoming for Kirklees area. That stream of showers near Selby looks promising with some farms radar reflections indicating heavier bursts.

Streamers fizzling a little before they 'hit' here but even a light dusting through the night will be ok really. Though I do hope a few heavier streamers can get going, like the one east of Notts just now which came out of nothing much.
