Don't know if this has copied correctly but there's a line of showers over Hull that should hit North Leeds in the next hour

Yes looking that way as the showers are starting to pep up again for the northern half of the region again.. Somthing is brewing I can feel it.. :cold-emoji:

Unfortunately there is an area of drier air just off the east coast of Yorks.  This radar image clearly shows lack of showers in this area. We need winds to veer more NE to get more showers.

Play the loop back yet another streamer is setting up in the same place over smugness! It's just backbuilding constantly. It will be South Yorkshire who this bits again as the winds turn direct East when they reach inland if you play back the old streamer. Now the Amber warning makes sense as it didn't seem to last long enough to dump 15cm. This makes me sense if it lasts till 4pm

I would say wind is ESE at the moment so that lot heading across Lincolnshire at the moment is on course for South and West Yorkshire I would imagine?

Not sure there is much behind it though?

Edit @inghams85 suggests there is so I will stand corrected.

No as BA Baracus indicates there is a drier slot to come. Looks like more showers behind later on today though and hopefully overnight :)

Without upsetting our Leeds friends this next streamer is going the same place. maybe 20 miles north so Barnsley in more of the action

I think Leeds will get some, but as you say, S York's more of it.

Looks like they are intensifying somewhat as well?

Northern edge of the band may reach Leeds?

Not sure about that there's another blob in the Humber that could head our way

Lets hope everyone gets a bit of the action.  Think it's just too far South for sausage this time though so mum's the word!  :D

Actually looks like there may be some heavier showers appearing off the Humber too at the Southern end of that band of showers to our NE?

Could give West and North Yorkshire some action later if the wind switches more Easterly?

Think they have updated since.  Yellow warning now down into the Midlands for tomorrow including all of Yorkshire and the warning for Friday and Saturday has been extended North into the fringes of North Yorkshire?
