Looking good for the Sheffield area. Looks right in line for the streamer

Thats my feeling too. But wanted confirmation...the question will it wont it ?  Its a work trip so you just dont try quite as hard to make it

Lol. I suppose it’s when is the latest they can book it.. exact track still isn’t nailed on but it’s looking to me it’s increasingly favouring the track NE which would include Belfast for the potential of heavy snow.

41/2 cm this morning a few more since then do doubt. Plenty of lovely snow showers today. Not windy yet though.

Yes I agree Pit wind not picked up.

We've just been sent home from work (I work at a school - snow day!) but not before we all struggled in!

Looks like a streamer setting up for Sheffield.

Aw no fair, Sheffield already had a streamer in 2010. We've never had a streamer. :nonono:

You can see it set up. Convergence right there and a trough 12-3 will pep that are up even more. Could be quite an even for South Yorkshire although more South the better Chesterfield is the bullseye area for me

This morning the local weather on BBC talked about the showers easing this aft but Met Off seems to have changed their minds on that now, with me and the partner both being home safe and warm I am happy to see what comes. Poor homeless people though :-(

There's more snow just creeping into view on the radar in the North sea. Slightly further North than the Sheffield streamer.

West Yorkshire will likely miss the streamer...oh well...enjoy it our southern brethren!!!!

Although our area is in a mini-streamer ....

You'll get snow till 4-5 but yeah not heavy disruptive like our Sheffield contingent. Then us and Chesterfield have got lucky with this like 2010! Never expected it today tbh!

There is a clear window in the radar from York up to Richmond area. We've got about 5-6 cm but I wouldn't call it disruptive snow. A streamer would be nice like the one that passed over Durham this morning! My son has about 15cm of cover...
