I worked in addingham today, I cant believe the difference between there and ilkey/otley.

This morning left for work, 2cm here, about 3.5cm ilkley yet 7cm in addingham! only like 6 miles from me and 3 from ilkley

Nature of showers buddy.

i live on the Moorside so had about 4” lying first thing this morning. Maybe lost an inch where the sun could reach but now we’ve had two showers and my pathway looks like it hasn’t been cleared these showers are intense.. :pardon:

Shower activity seriously pepping up in the North Sea. East Ridings and North Yorkshire bearing the brunt (we’re getting lots of showers pushing through into Thornton Dale), but also pushing into South and West Yorkshire. This could be a great 24 hours!

Also with the wind set to strengthen?

I think places like leeds and bradford (city centres) could get in on game soon, the showers are aligning more favourably for these areas now

I really hope you are right. We are in Clayton nr Bfd City Centre. Its all been a bit of a let down. Are the charts showing us in line fpr a dumping?

Hmm I think theres a slightly more easterly direction on the winds now, will make all the difference on the allocation of snow.

Also worth noting for yorkshire to get battered on wednesday/thursday the winds must not go SE or maybe SEE, as the trajectory of all this precip being churned up in north sea could shift north of us! We need it to stay as easterly as possibly, NEE would be favourable

Not much chance of that. The models have been adamant and steadfast in their desire to turn the winds to a south easterly direction during this spell.

York, Leeds and Bradford could be in for a good night!

Can someone let sausage know then. All he wants, is to go Dachshund through the snow.

Have to say the radar is looking spectacular for North and west Yorkshire after being empty 2 hours ago. Sausage should be pleased too. I caught the end of look north and it looked good for tonight and tomorrow... although it did last night too ?

Edit:south Yorkshire looks good too actually

After 36 hrs of ' The Beast ' being more like a Kitten..

This afternoon has been awesome & with a radar grab @ 7pm being as good as it is ?️?

Southeast Sheffield has at least 4 showers incoming ? So possibly another inch on a late winter ' icy night '.. ( Crack open another beer ) ?

Any areas seeing showers could do, but its just look of draw now some areas will get hit whilst some miss out. You should atleast get a covering.

Looks good for the next 60 - 90 mins.

All the false promises of the last 2 days, has suddenly decided to right itself ?️

We know that the weather isn't the end of world - but - it's almost the end of winter ( so are now desperate for a little bit of disruption ).

Hope this evening.. Delivers ?

Roughly a 1 cm covering here now with every shower, and they're lining up ?

Happy days ?️ ?

This is just ridiculous now, the North sea is totally dead in the direction the showers should be coming from if they were to hit us. We have barely a dusting from one light shower half an hour ago but it looks like at least a 2-3hr wait now.
