Sorry for not replying, had to nip out

looks like i caused a bit of a rashing of post's in here(pun int'd):D

those lines are marked troughs on the fax charts(enhanced ppn), i posted destined for the uk arival on east coast in the morning to push into the Irish sea by dinnertime followed by another one from N Denmark at the same time ariving on the east coast by midday

so while most are banging on about the lack of snow and how poor this beast is,surprises pop up nearer the time:),and i dare say it that more surprises will pop up over the coming days so relax and enjoy this week, also get out and take some pics of the snow if you get any as they will be a memory stored on your phone, tablet or pc and not in your head:D

Just to compound today’s misery the gfs12z stalls the low on Friday over midlands and south Wales’s giving them a huge dumping. You couldn’t make it up if we tried. Looking at shower activity aswell looks poor for inland areas this evening. At least it warms up next week :nonono:

I don't feel the GFS is a fine enough tool to determine exact positioning over a very short time frame

Feeling a bit more confident that we might see a decent depth of snow. We went from literally nothing to 2-3cm (South Sheffield) with a very heavy 25min shower. Looks like it'll accumulate alot better now it's getting colder

Might be my eyesight. But think those showers may just hit west and South Yorkshire.

Too far North I think. Anyway hopefully plenty more chances to come. Only got a light covering here but it's white all over and looks beautiful in the evening sunshine. :)

We have a light fluttering of snow, with the sun shining, and there are two wood pigeons on my shed roof pecking each other. It's so romantic.

Well wait for it wait for it I have about 0.5cm of snow in the garden.

The kitten from the east has really produced. Local forecast has it staying cold but not as cold from Friday and only light snow around.

Doubt very much todays snow will survive all day tomorrow unless we get a top up overnight. At present the radar doesn't really bode well but looks good further north.
