think i would rather have continuous snow or nothing, rather than these showers :(

They come and look great then done in 5 mins and all melting away, its frustrating to say the least

It’s getting ridiculously cold tonight icicles compact snow, Black ice the lot. Anything landing as dark sets in of the main routes will start to build up. Just got to hope your area is selected for a good chain of showers then by morning you should start to see accumulations. Tomorrow’s low temps should’t reach above freezing all day so again if you are lucky enough to have frequent showers/Mergers or even better Streamers you should do well..

dont take that as gospel as it will all depend on where the main Showers hit..

Some black skies over Leeds at the minute

We just had a very intense snow shower, probably on its way to you. Left a dusting - and if these showers became organised then it's easy to see how quickly it would accumulate (not that I think it'll happen here).

Are those troughs I see? IIRC, Feb 1991 had troughs in the flow, hence the deep snow then. We can hope..

Troughs in the flow that should pep up the shower activity and give more prolonged periods of snow.

A couple of them have packed their bags destination Yorkshire by the looks of things!

Given that they will be an export of Denmark they will probably be the best troughs in the world!  :D

If you look at the bottom image just off our east coast there’s a bolder line that looks like a boomerang that’s what is going to give us the heavy showers Tonight and tomorrow. If you look further east near Scandinavia there’s a much larger Boomerang shaped line heading for us on those Easterly Winds.. Could bring some much heavier snow to the region..

hope ive explained that well enough.. lol
