Very dissatisfied.

The snow that’s is falling now is causing the earlier dusting to melt. I was under the impression that this wasn’t marginal with such low uppers.....what has gone wrong.

Sheffied never fails in an easterly so maybe it will still happen.

Current forecast would suggest that our best chance comes tonight but we live in hope before then.

The one or 2 schools that have opened round here could see their headteachers being in trouble if that comes off as per the radar. Lunacy they opened given its about 5-10cm's widely, side roads unpassable and looks like possibly another 5cm+ coming by midday.

Totally agree. Our school is closed but looking at the radar and charts I expect a text by 1pm.

Lovely blue skies here in Sheffield (Chapeltown). Get the odd flurry every now and again but very small amount of snow from this morning has all melted now

Thought we was going to be inline for the big beefy showers which went over Hull but typical it's going to be too far south for Sheffield :D Really can't win this cold spell

That English Channel streamer has been going on for many hours now. Such a waste of snow

Let's commission a ship and have a snow party.

-1c currently where I live with 4” lying snow and just started snowing again and heavier snow showers forcasted for laters this afternoon into tonight with the potential of a few merging a big freeze tonight hopefully icicles will develop that would be nice and something I haven’t seen in years followed by the coldest temperatures and most frequent snow showers and Streamers are increasingly possible for some prolonged periods of snow for some.

Have a good day all.. ?

BBC vs. Met Office for tomorrow for my area (NW Leeds). BBC follows Met Office yellow warning yet their actual forecast, yet again, doesn't follow it. Given last night/this morning's snowfall they'd be right not to and I'd expect the BBC one to be correct. Question is how can the Met Office think there will be 5 hours or heavy snow and the BBC just 3 hours of light snow showers with sunshine?

Edit: Even more strange is that the Met Office issued an amber warning for last night with less snow than they expect tomorrow, which only deserves a yellow one.

Snow showers coming in off the coast are losing a good deal of their intensity as they get in land this morning.

Love the way a Sheffield sized gap is appearing in the approaching heavy snow. Another 10 minute dusting on the cards!

Looks like the North East is the best place to be next few days. We have covering nothing to bad just need an few heavy snow showers to pep up.
