Chilly here in Sheffield.  We had the lightest sprinkling of fluffy dry snow at around 7:30am, not much and not enough to cover the ground but it was very pretty.  I'm up on the 7th floor at work now and there is the very occasional (once in a long while) snowflake floating past the windows.

Keep the faith, gang and remember to wrap up warm, carry a flask and a snow shovel; and a tub of Norwegian formula hand cream for those chapped fingers :) stock up on loaves and milk too. Oh I forgot, the mikman left us 3 pints this morning anyway. Good man.

You can get Sun burn in the alps in the middle of winter.. When the snow arrives it will remain.

Snow does anyone want to throw out some predictions for our region tonight and tomorrow morning! ?? ....

Potential for 10-15cms from the early hours through rush hour tomorrow morning for much of the region I would suspect?

Could be a bit more or less but it will be a case of radar watching later on today and tonight that's for sure.

What does this mean for us folk in West Yorkshire and Leeds? Would it come down towards us as if winds are easterly it would miss us?

It means we will be more in the sweet spot if that run comes off.?

Looking good for our region tonight and tomorrow now. Not overly keen on the latest icon regarding fridays snow potential looks like missing us. But still plenty opportunities for that to change.

If it keeps correcting north more of north east England will be affected too! Hopefully it's got enough love to share around to us all
