I know what you mean totally agree

What part of Yorkshire are you.

East. North West.

North Yorkshire. York City to be precise. The city is prone to easterly showers.

I'm going offline for a bit .

My home broadband has gone down and I'm using my smartphone.

And that's nearly flat..

Excuse my predictive text tonight and spelling hence using my smartphone.

I'l be back soon with some good news on the radar hopefully

Garrowby Hill is a good place to see snow showers moving in.

Photo of road past the Lion Inn on Monday 5th Feb, taken from the comfort of our Volvo XC60 AWD parked in the pub car park!  And yes, there were quite a few rear wheel drive cars and no I wouldn't have gone up there without the AWD! ?

(article about when the Lion inn at Blakey ridge was cut off for 9 days)

I’m sure it’s been posted in here before, but a great read nonetheless. A warm up for the upcoming week!

Yes, I've seen the pics and stories before.  It's a fantastic location but clearly a need to be ery careful in winter!  Although we don't live locally we have rented a holiday cottage in Hutton Le Hole in February for the last 10 years or so, so have seen all weathers up there from snow, to thick fog and brilliant sunshine.  One of the most amazing was driving up from Hutton in thick fog to get just beyond the Lion on the Ridge when we emerged into clear blue skies and we were walking around with fog at our feet!

Wow - and strong winds associated with the low too. If that came to pass then we could have a genuine blizzard on our hands. @Stelmer maybe 1995 could be repeated after all? :shok:

Expecting some potential #thundersnow this week as heavy snow showers push across the North Sea into eastern England. #Lightning seems a definite possibility so stay tuned!!

Regarding that low on Friday could yet change guys & girls. Even Tuesday’s low isn’t nailed down yet. Chris Fawkes did tweet that he is sceptical if it will move this far north on thurs Friday. Gonna focus on next few days snowfall. Then if that low is still been modeled on Wednesday nights output then game on.

Tell me to mind my own business but you'd be better buying 4 instead of just 2.

Please watch a youtube video on just 2 winter tyres.

All I'm trying is to keep you safe.

I mean this in the nicest possible way.:)

I've got to say, if you're sitting on the North York Moors or in The Wolds right now (Lincolnshire or Yorkshire), I think the next week will be pretty memorable.
