From the satellite at 4.30 before if started to get dark, there is a lot of cloud approaching from the North sea. I'm not sure if radars cover central North sea precipitation? Could there be anything interesting later this evening?

Yes but I could see mainland Europe looking out to sea...... Or was it Hull? :D

  Try this  website  wwwraintoday.co.uk

I find it the best radar for rain and snow

In the case of this week commencing and the week after the shower activity will be snow shown on the radar.

Hope you find it useful guys and gals

guys im not a troll and a dampner. i kust desperately want some snow. yes its going to be beitter week with sig windchill n low temps. i just want snow too because its not memorable without it. the charts looked so good the other day that i told everyone at wrk n family that something special was coming. bit the mo warnings dont show it. easterloes in the past like 91 brought much snow to us all. i couldnt remember yhat as a child but want to now experience crazy winter weather n it just seems that it wont. it may do but who knws i guess. just find it unfair some areas getting snow tmz followed by more snow whilst some may miss out. tjats doesnt seem fair right...

good things come to those who wait??

I've got the weather channel storm radar app. Stretches out to Europe but unsure if it covers central North sea.

Wednesday night could herald a major snow storm for us in Yorkshire

40mph winds -6.oC and heavy snow.

Drifting snow even to low levels.

Treacherous Blizzards

Eagerly awaiting this event now whatever happens at end of day it's only the weather not end of the world. Sure some places will get more then others just nice for first time since 2013 might get proper snow event and more then 24 hours of lying snow and nice to not hear the word marginal for low lying and coastal areas.

Here’s a screenshot from the Wunderground Weather app. It links together people’s home weather stations and provides a great temp profile (across the world). Has a radar layer as well, although I think Net weather’s radar or rain today is better.

Hi Tom, looks like we are in a great spot this week.

I currently have 13 weather stations live on Wunderground across North Yorkshire, many in the North York Moors, Yorkshire Wolds and Howardian Hills.

Going to be awesome watching all the data from various stations this week :)

Where did you get the information from? Or is it just your opinion?

Most of Yorkshire east of the pennines will see the heavier snow . But West Yorkshire will see plenty too.

The travelling conditions will be atrocious

The cold air is really starting to come in now. Even here close to the coast with a keen easterly wind its already down to -0.1C and dewpoint of -5.4C.

Liking the models tonight too, there's pretty much a polar low especially for East Yorkshire on Tuesday morning. From Russia with love. :)

The trend today has been to keep the snow band further south and maybe just missing our region. Better for long term cold but missing a potential epic blizzard. I will say though that this is a constantly evolving situation and the morning runs may well revert back to a more northerly track and we could be back in the firing line. That may mean an abrupt end to the cold spell though. Depends what you prefer. Short term pain for long term gain or short term gain for long term pain. Of course there is that very small jackpot chance of the blizzard stalling and pivoting over our region, dumping lots of snow and then sinking back south allowing the very cold air back in. Oh we can dream lol ?

Does that 'polar low' influence northern Lincolnshire too Reef?
