HAHA yes its so captivating isnt it. Im hooked, but always have been! Its these special rare setups that you just have to put the effort in for and bask in the greatness of it. As some say, this is at least a 1 in 10 year event and maybe more. Stunning output for next week!
BRING IT ON :D (even though ill be up in Scotland lol, I hope you all get burried and then ill have a nice thick white blanket of snow to come back to next Fri)

That's twice my height and I am expecting a little of the white stuff.  30-40cms will do me I'm not greedy!  :drunk-emoji:

It is mental in that Mod thread tonight.

I honestly don't know what people are looking at when they are complaining about the cold being delayed and the snow turning to rain at 200 and God knows how many hours!  :nonono:

and so the mega downgrades let dwns begin. dry sunny spells nextcweek. great NOT.

So dramatic!  All runs show a continuation of the previous output this morning in terms of the overall pattern including some bitterly cold runs.

Some are snowier than others but if it is dry with sunny spells next week I would be astounded!

Chill out it's Wednesday the cold air comes in Sunday anything can happen. Espcially when you have the North sea not so many miles away.Don't look at a silly app at this stage it will never pick up the snow.

Meto wording for our region now suggesting snow showers from late Sunday onwards.

Automated forecast already picking up the snow risk for early next week as well which is a good sign considering they are normally inadequate when it comes to convection etc.

Ice day on Tuesday with snow showers for my area;

It will be nice to see some of this next week as well!  I was living about a mile away from this when it happened in February 2009 I believe.....a great snow event that was and this looks more severe.  :cold:

Interesting to note that precipitation is getting pushed back everyday. We started off on Sunday with snow showers from Saturday, it’s now been pushed back to Tuesday. Much as it’s going to be bitterly cold, I can see this ending up being dry as a bone!

Step back a little.The shower activity will start over the weekend and increase  with longer periods of snow developing and the air is deeply unstable trust me.
