Can't get a straightforward snow to rain affair these days.....used to at least get 2 or 3 inches before things turned....

exactly what ive just said! doesnt seem to happen now does it. All the snow so far this winter has been very light with no depth really. Around here anyway

Now very light snow in my part of Sheffield. I think it's turning to sleet even at 150m hopefully just because it's lighter but probably not given the reports from the west.

However a nice covering. IMG_7589.thumb.JPG.7def2b04bb9d4c473bf2274a264b77e4.JPG

The band approaching Wales is what Euro4 sees as our chance of heavier settling snow round 3 - 6pm depending on conditions. Will most lowly be rain!

Yep even in Sheffield, as the precipitation has got heavier it's turned to sleet with ice pellets that can be heard bouncing off the windows.

Thats it from this chapter....when will the next one arrive?

Temp has dropped to 0.6c and the band has pepped up. Kind of matching the heavy snow forecast at 2pm!

Massive flakes here. Seem to be in a band of heavy precipitation at the moment. Hope it can last for a bit :)

Here too, I just assumed it was a sign of increasing marginality. The rain can't be too far away.

Yes, game over here also, at higher elevation.

A bit of an anti-climax I’m afraid. Most of the heavier precipitation headed either to the north or south of us. A batch of heavier stuff to come soon, but will be rain....I was going to say looking forward to the next cold spell, but probably be end up being the same!

Not really an anti-climax here since I was only expecting rain. It was nice to see snow falling again even if it only left a dusting.

Yep very nice while it lasted. 5th time it's been white over here this winter so it could be worse. A week long freeze in Feb and I'll be happy to call this Winter a good one.
