Completely dry here. Think the precipitation shown on the chart above is so light, it’s probably evaporating before it even gets close to landing on the ground.

Same here, although only on top of the cars. Everywhere else is to wet. Still, it is very light. Lets see what the heavier precipitation brings, i suspect heavy sleet!

This image says it all about my experiences of the snow the past few weeks in Keighley.  9:10am radarsnow.thumb.JPG.251fa587e421255ee5eac1b97f95052e.JPG

Sorry Bud but that'll be my missus at work! She hates the snow and is on call today ( Care coordinator) so didn't want her carers blobbin' 'cause of a bit of snow ( and leaving their old dears without their helpers).

I wish she'd turn her talents to my lotto numbers!!!

She's back from her travels at 11 so the shield will probably drop around then :D

After a very thick frost this morning we now have very light sleet.  Pretty much all the frost has disappeared in the last 20 minutes, so temps must have risen with the ticker cloud cover.

Light snow coing down now here, not settling though, but its wet after the frost melt sadly. Waiting for the main front and heavy stuff to get here...

Unfortunately, the slow progression of the front will allow temperatures to rose slightly ahead of the main PPN. I suspect areas in the East on low levels will be disappointed to see it be sleety rather than snowy this afternoon.

Odd really to see western parts of England snowier than the east. I suspect you will have to be around 200m to see decent accumulations - albeit temporary.

Light snow now, but of the very wet kind and therefore unlikely to settle.

bit heavier here now, starting to settle on the patio and some surfaces. BBC weather still said certainly snow accross Yorkshire by 3pm this afternoon so hopefully get the heavy stuff over us soon and get a good covering to enjoy for a little bit :)

Same here!  Moderate snow for last 10 minutes.  Settling quite well on grass and first signs of it settling on the drive and road.  Hopefully temps stay low enough for snow when the heavier precipitation arrives.

Coming down fairly heavy now and starting to stick.

Temperature down to 0.2c from 0.7c earlier as well.

Movement of the band on the radar actually looks NW to SE at the moment which is a bit strange?

Anyway snow still being reported to our West which bodes well for a little bit more snow yet.  :cold:

Surprisingly heavy given the radar shows it to be far away from the main band. Hills all around are white, not just the tops which I've been jealously eyeing for the past week! I know it's not going to stick around but nice to see anyway.

Yes is noticed that too, certainly looks like its sliding looking at the heavier stuff going SE!

Not sure what it will do to the mild winning out but maybe snow for longer hopefully. My worry is that the heavy stuff risks sliding too far SW at the moment...
