Temperature has edged down from 2.7c to 2.4c here but still not much in the way of anything falling yet though.  We might get some temporary snow if this band gets heavier and evaporative cooling kicks in?

Yes,that's what i want to see,

getting heavier here now with more wet flakes mixed in,it's turning:)

You're right though, a potent NE or E with -10C or lower and we're hammered, though I can count on one hand how many of these there have been in the last 30 years.

Agreed . I spent a weekend in Hedon 4 or 5 years ago with -8 uppers and just rained steadily ( got back to Mkt Weighton with similar poor elevation asl and we had 3 inches )

Rain here. Not expecting anything from this tonight. Even if it does snow at some point in the night, it’ll turn back to rain and be gone by morning anyway. ?

Colder air filtering back in by morning though.  We could actually have some back edge snow before the system clears off East.

Latest GFS just rolling out definately got the snow further south so Leeds in the firing line for longer period of snow, south York’s just too far South on that chart, but who knows

Temperature edging down still to 2.2c now and sleet and snow being reported in some areas in the North West thread so fingers crossed for a little of the white stuff before the mild sector temporarily at least turns it all back to rain.

If you run the temperature animation on the XC Weather temperature tab it actually looks like the milder sector is being pushed South not North?

Maybe hope for us yet?!  :cold:

Probably not but you never know.....

Fingers crossed then, the heavy stuff is approaching Yorkshire now so lets hope that tips it over the edge :)
Still wet sleet and rain here at the moment though.
