Has anyone got any modules for next Friday handy? I think we may have the potential for an interesting event as the temperature potentially drops again.

It's only 1.c here but interestingly Bingley Met office station at 280m is at 3.c. We've been a couple of degrees colder for a few hours now

A good 4cms here, enough to sledge down our road and then lots more sledging in the park.. was starting to sleet then rain as we came home though. Happy we got some proper sledging in for the first time with our 1 and 3 year old boys :)

Not a good idea to sledge down roads. Luckily it won't compact the snow and turn it into ice today but consider other road users and setting your kids a good example. Had some silly people doing that on our road a few years back luckily a 4 x 4 didn't come up as they were doing round a corner and if one came up they wouldn't have been able to stop and would have hit it head on. There was also the risk of losing control and slamming right into a parked vehicle. Even sillier when there is  a park five minutes walked away.

Just back from a walk out in the snow or rather slush by the time we got back to the car.  Only out for a couple of hours and we've gone from snow and ice to bits of slush...but mostly all gone.  Car outdoor temp (I know not the best accuracy) was reading 3c.

Met office not really buying into the Snow idea away from Ireland tonight.  We shall see.

However for new years eve GFS does have a nasty feature flying across the region in the morning which may bring 80 mph gusts to a small area.

BBC text forecast says hill snow this eve and morning tomorrow so you never know. Not sure conditions are right this time?

I'm low down in Bingley and currently 2.5.

Poor effort here between 1-2cm overall, villages nearby above 100m did considerably better and places like Malton barely got a covering!

Been bout 8cm here, no snowmelt at all. Starting to ice up now as well.

Excellent!  Enjoy!  It's about 8 times what we got here ☹️

Over in the model thread, where I can be found lurking, there are positive signals for more cold to come after a brief less cold spell.  Here is hoping for more widespread snow as we head into January and February.

Just raining heavy here. Typically now that its not snow forecast, look at the lovely strong heavy front solid over us all! Would have given heavy snow this morning rather than the crappy fragmented rubbish we got at the time. Damn it!! :wallbash::nonono:
