light snow again now here. Theres one final narrow heavier band to come through in the next hour looking at the radar so we'll see what it drops. Not holding my breath though..

Just been updated

Indeed you do!  Just got same update for Barnsley.  Having been in the snow gap for the last hour with nothing falling from the sky, we now have sleet and the dreaded drip drip drip...

Having said that though it looks like the low pressure is much further south than forecast so we might stay on the cold side and with any luck as the heavier precip hits it will turn back to snow.

Only just realised I haven’t updated my location. Currently in featherstone. Been stuck in this gap in the precip for over an hour now, looks to be closing in now. Hopefully we will actually have snow rather than sleet

I think for West Yorkshire the warnings should have been 2-5 low ground, 5-10cm high ground seems about right. There is covering of snow at 30m asl in the center Leeds so its not too marginal but the front is a bit of a mess unfortunately.

Turned back to snow and slightly heavier.  BBC app and Meto both have Barnsley under heavy snow until 11 and light snow until 12, but can't see that unless front progress East slows considerably.

Judging by what has settled in the last 3 hours, we'll be looking lucky to get 2-5mm let alone 2-5cm ☹️

Solid snow in LS12, not a classic event but it is a solid event with full coverage and one or two drivers struggling on. Side roads.

Nice big flakes here now, just not that many of them!  Also, looking at Radar I'd say Barnsley is once again heading for the snow gap with the heaviest shown to going be to the north and south...

Good covering in Holbeck, Leeds. Roads clear but starting to get heavier, and heading places like Pudsey,Meanwood soon that are a bit higher up so il see how I get on.

Back home just a light dusting so far looking on my weather cam.

Slightly heavier now, but even being generous you'd still only call it moderate snow...  Still potential for something heavier in the next hour or so though...fingers crossed!

Yeah looking quite wintry out there now.  Let's hope it stays that way for a few hours!

Temperature holding steady at bang on 0.0c
