Yes over the higher parts I agree. But here on lower ground I can confirm it’s throwing it down with rain.

The BBC Graphics are actually an upgrade, with an all snow event now and for longer....however im not seeing that outside at the moment :p

I'm not that high and it's snowing here in hudds, only light but everything is covered even the road.

Very very light snow in Barnsley now.  As its raining in Doncaster, Rotherham and parts of Huddersfield, I don't think it will be long before it turns to rain here as we aren't that far apart. ☹️

yeah think its just the centre of the low pressure isnt it? like the eye of a hurricane but our UK tiny version haha!!

I thought center was expected to be further North, I've been watching it developing for past hour an half.

Snowing here and sticking to all surfaces.  Quite surprising really given other reports and my lack of elevation.

I could be wrong, just what sprung to mind as it seemed possible thats what it could be :)

EDIT: yeah just checked the fax chart and the centre is around north of Ireland about now so its not that.

HA - well lets see what the next hour brings...

Well I can confirm I survived the blizzard of   2017 lol. Commute to work absolutely fine. Not sure this warranted a amber warning to be fair. Yes some side roads have a dusting but all main roads round here are clear as a bell. By lunchtime think even side roads will be clear aswell.
