Well I'm personally bot looking that forward to this,a couple if inches followed by milder air.

I suppose it shows how desperate we've become lol.

South correction

For the love of god please don't start talking about southwards 'incorrection' in here, come to the regional to get away from it after the last few weeks!! ??

It does look to be moving through very fast on that graphic though, can see why its now only got a few hours of snow on BBC graphics. Would have been good if it had stalled and snowed longer but seems a quick thaw tomoz afternoon :(

But it's for the different reason this time!

More little corrections southwards will put the whole of Yorkshire in the sweet spot!

So it looks like a very messy picture tomorrow. Heavy snow between 6am-9am before turning back to heavy rain. Not really looking forward to a horrible slushy mess by dinner time. But i guess we take our chances.

Hey Guy.

I think this will be all down to the Altitude you live tomorrow. As stated Above 100m could see a potential of a couple of inches and below could see a couple of centimetres in risk areas. Higher ground will see the largest snow fall as it always does but more so because it has the best chance of staying colder for longer as this weather system moves quickly through. However I'm sure we will see some slight changes on the area most likely and there's always a chance it will slightly stall. We can tell this with the uncertainty of the forecasters and the constant change to the forecast.

The same happened earlier in December the difference however of the uncertainties last time was how far north it would actually go as appossed to this time been how low and how long the snow will fall and last. Having said all this I'm confident the majority of Yorkshire away from the coasts will see snow. How much and if it settles will be all down to altitude and how long it stays as snow.

There's also the potential for further Sleet/Snow over higher routes on Friday Night Saturday morning so some of us will more than likely enjoy the Snow for 24hours.

Personally i hate these transient events but its got that desperate i will take anything...tis a shame with 5cm widely it cant just go dry and cold.. after the event    :-(

The apps aren't accurate. I'd say based on an amber that you are likely to be in the firing line.
