Snowing in Huddersfield. Really big flakes. Looks pretty, not sure if it will be prolonged or if any will still be on the ground in the morning.

Yeah that's the difference in these marginal setups.

I just need a better altitude!

Just a ice ring in Morley can't walk on the paths and the untreated roads are a death trap.

Please don't think I am getting at you, but it would help appreciate your post if you would put your town/city, elevation in your avatar please?

thanks

Yes, some in our region, mainly with elevation I suspect may see white on the ground as well as falling for maybe 2-3 days next week.

fingers crossed.

Local forecast showing it becoming dry during the afternoon of the 26th and staying that way overnight. This is in complete contrast with GFS which shows rain later in the evening into Wednesday and a good snow chance Wednesday. Interesting that it has such a contradiction.

Conversely the EURO4 has it in line with the GFS positing at T48. I have access to the latest ECM ppn maps which has it significantly further south similar to the BBC forecasts.

I think the lack of warning is indicative of the levels of uncertainty.

Whilst its not ruined my Xmas, slider looks to be taking a similar route to earlier in the month which is quite frustrating. We will get lucky eventually :D

If if follows the track the Met Office is predicting it won't even hit Yorkshire.
