Have to say its rather frustrating watching the radar showing the same areas get hit by snowfall that were affected on Sunday, that area of precip was forecast to come straight over us a few days ago but once again has been corrected further South.

I'm not sure if it would of fallen as snow here but conditions are currently favourable. We will see precip across Yorkshire in the form of juicy showers through the night, but they are unlikely to reach this far east with mainly the Pennine's and Yorkshire Dales been affected.

M62 camera at junction 23 would confirm this.

Main band going South of here by the looks of things.  Sheffield looks like it is about to be hit though.  Could be some lying snow there in the next hour or so especially the hillier parts?

1.6c windy moderate rain and the odd blob of sleet with puddles everywhere.

Lovely....:nonono:

3 years and counting since my last measurable fall of lying snow!  :wallbash:

The fact that this thread has 65 pages since November last year while the Midlands thread is on 100 pages since 6 days ago tells you everything you need to know..

About an inch in the last hour in lodge moor. Quite a nice surprise ?

No surprise about Snow up at Lodge Moor lol Worked up there when a new estate was built during late 80s & early 90s, frequently during winter it would be raining when we set off from Wincobank but when we got up there they'd be blizzard conditions.

Another filthy night.  We had a heavy shower early which turned to snow before stopping and now we have more rain belting down in sub 2c temperatures!  Wonderful!

Snowing in Huddersfield. Really big flakes. Looks pretty, not sure if it will be prolonged or if any will still be on the ground in the morning.
