A new light covering here too near Beverley , some more hefty showers in the North Sea perhaps by the look of the radar

Shame those beefy showers aren't a bit further inland as conditions are prime for accumulating snow.

Temp: 0c  Dew: -1c

Yes , bloody shame Viz , temp -0.3c and dew point -1.9 here ....... they are just staying offshore or losing intensity as they track inland. Maybe we will get lucky later

An unremarkable -2.9C this morning.

Yes nowhere near as cold as was forecast this morning.  Still looks like we may get some wintry surprises over the next couple of days though especially over Pennine areas.

Tomorrow evening into the early hours of Thursday in particular sees the snow risk increasing for our area.

Yeah, GFS shows snow accumulation on Thursday, but I'm not getting sucked in again.

And a good job we're not getting sucked into tomorrow night's alleged event-Temperatures for tomorrow here in Sheffield are up to a (Balmy) 5.C-That should get some snow melt going before too long as it's mostly rain apart from a bit of sleet tomorrow tea time.

0.4c here with a dew of -1.2c and its lightly sleeting so there must be some warm air aloft somewhere.

Could be excellent for the Peak District tomorrow night :santa-emoji: Expecting just sleet/wet snow/rain at low altitudes but temporary accumulations for 200m + tomorrow eve/night before it turns back to sleet :)

Regardless of whether we get white or wet tomorrow it looks like we could get some active weather crossing the region so it shouldnt be boring if nothing else.  :santa-emoji:

Heavy snow on and off all night bout 2-3cm on ground now.

Just shows you how crap precipitation type radars are. Nothing but rain according to this for the whole region right now:

Showers starting to push into Yorkshire already looking on the wintry side according to the radar.

Temperature has certainly dropped from earlier.

Pennine areas especially may get a snowy surprise tonight and many areas should at least see some snow falling looking at the intensity of the showers heading this way later on.

Maybe a bit much to ask for some thunder and lightning as well?!  :cold-emoji:

Unless something develops, the main band is heading slightly South.

Be nice to receive a nice surprise or two.
