Radar looking good, heavy snow falling here, some-what un-foretasted as well which is always nice and just shows how difficult it is the predict how snow events will unfold

Ironically Met Office just added a heavy snow symbol to my area and it's just stopped :)

Snowing steadily here for a while, roofs covered and sky looks full. Fingers crossed it keeps up so we can have a snow day tomorrow.

Use the original netwether scale shows the intensity much better. Well Sheffield has disappeared from view always a good sign. Since this was unforecast no idea how long it's going to keep on.

Still coming down here in Rotherham though not settling on roads and pavements yet, just usual surfaces like cars, roofs and grass.

Easing off in Barnsley now, and Radar shows the heaviest has now disipated.  Well at least got a vague covering, if nothing like originally forecast.

Yep stopping here now, was only light after the earlier band had moved away anyway. Funny day today, disappointing after what could have been but with a nice suprise this afternoon to soften the blow. About 1cm here. Enjoy it those of u who are still getting it!

Lighter here now, band is hardly moving but looks as though its dying out.

Could pep up again but doubt it very much.

Still moderate snow in Sheffield now, some reprieve at least. White over. Surprise snowfall after huge expectations for today a few days ago.

It felt like everything had been dodging us until now. Hope it continues.
