Can anyone recommend a radar, please?  Raintoday keeps crashing on me

Netweather radar you can get it from their homepage for free or even better sign for netweather extra and get the radar app for the phone.

Snow started again seems to be getting heavier. An unforecast improvement ???

Radar is intensifying with every 5 minute run. Looks like it’s heading over us and the north west with every update

Heaviest snow of the day in Chesterfield. Looks like we could get it falling for a while looking at the radar

They havent predicted this in latest forecasts, could this be why the models were forecasting the fronts to be over north of england couple days ago? Obviously they disregarded it, but maybe the solution was right

Still falling in Tinshill - varying from light to occasionally medium intensity. We still had a light covering from the other night so can't complain really. Had a nice drive over the Chevin to Otley as well, all white over up there and looks beautiful. :)

Now getting a covering in Barnsley, which was quite unexpected after the complete fail of the orginal forecast from 2 days ago.  This seems to have come from nowhere, and certainly not forecast.  Just goes to show how difficult it is to forecast snow events,

Any of the more knowledgeable members want to dare to give a forecast for the next few hours :D

I'm not knowledgeable but I can't imagine this will produce anything too untoward.  That said if you zoom in on the radar everything now seems to be moving slowly SE but if you look at the back edge of the band around Skipton Colne way it is almost stationary and even intensifying so we could be in for a few hours of light to moderate snow yet.

Met office forecast seems suggest snow until 5pm for my area.  Starting to settle now as well!  :cold:

Agreed, very very slight SE movement but intensifying.  This is consistent with latest updated forecast from Meto which now shows Barnsley as having mostly heavy snow until 6, rather than light snow as per previous update approx 2 hours ago.
