A few places reporting rain around Lincolnshire. North sea warming effect possibly.

Near York Racecourse, and light snow began about half an hour ago, settlling in temperature of -1C

Given the forecast two days ago, I was looking forward to building snowmen and sledging on the Knavesmire, so dashed hopes have been slightly undashed :cc_confused:

A light flurry in Garforth! Very light, if it was rain you would say it was a dry day! Looks like the onshore winds could save the day for some of us although, incredibly, it actually looks like I'm a bit too far south and west now! Oh the irony!

Extraordinary scenes, the intensity of my flurry has upgraded from "very light" to "light"!!! Maybe, just maybe today can be salvaged!?

Yes, we have many flakes falling, enough for a slight dusting to start forming. One for the history books.

It' actually very gradually getting better with some decent sized flakes mixed in and the radar is gradually filling in the gaps to the east of us as well. I don't think this development was shown by the models was it? Anyway the good thing is the ground has been frozen since Thursday night so every flake is settling. Intensity verging on "light-moderate"  at times! 20171210_124154.thumb.jpg.12763260945ebc4e826eff68e64a9be6.jpg

Well what a wonderful snow event that was!  We had multiple flurries of snow which almost gave a whole millimetre of coverage at one point....before it all melted.  What a time to be alive!  :yahoo:

Looks to be a line of heavier stuff to my north, which I'm just on the southern end of. And it seems to be expanding...

the usual in hull ,few flakes of snow, now turned to light rain.north west winds don't deliver and when we get north east wind ,its not cold enough.modern winters don't cut it on the east coast.
