Lodge moor western edge of Sheffield 270m asl. Since checking the radar at 5.20:) the northern edge seems less distinct BUT it has just reached us with light snow just increasing a little. Looks quite gloomy to the south. Everyone look south and breathe in deeply please!!

Looks like showers developing ahead of the main band. Suspect that might be as much as anyone north of Barnsley can expect to see a bit of... Eastern parts might get a bit when it pivots?

We've had very light snow for last 10 minutes...maybe still get a light dusting today, but nothing more...and certainly not the 5-10cm that was forecast a couple of days ago!

A light dusting but snow already dying away sadly too far north. We may get a rare ice day though

It’s getting painfully close to Leeds. Seems to be pivoting in our favour and intensifying slightly, so I’ll expect we’ll see a bit from this. Travelling painfully slowly though, so even though it’s only 15 miles away it could take another hour or so before it gets here!

Lucky if we get a cm, but it’s better than nothing I suppose!!

While we watch with envy at the snow further south, here's a picture of the snow in Leeds back in January 2013. Our time will come again, mark my words! :aggressive:
