Hi all. Got everything crossed for this event, but i have a funny feeling its gona miss us :( maybe been let down too many times before, but will be a bonus if my gut feeling is wrong.

West Yorkshire normally does well in these setups.

Snowing North of Skipton if the radar is right. Does look Significantly more organised than forecast, no wonder the Met bumped up the warnings for tomorrow.

Looks promising. At the moment there's a very long spell of heavy snow forecast (as above) although the forecast is going for not quite as long.

Radar is really active, a lot is heading to the Pennines now. Could be a fun rush hour if the temp drops as expected.

Thanks I'm in west Leeds. Fingers crossed, also the met office warning certainly sounds very good.

NW Leeds here. Looking good on the latest run to my untrained eye. Better than the last one anyway! :) Fingers crossed. My wife just got a large smattering of hail on the way to pick our little one up from school.

Edit: I've ordered 25kgs of rock salt and a shovel, so it better snow this winter!

Snow line is now at Keighley going on the Radar. This really has become quicker than predicted and is a LOT stronger, could be some surprises from this.

Going to be a fun rush hour for West Yorkshire.

This is really a Pennines only event for tonight / tomorrow / Saturday. Might get the odd shower make its way to York e.g. one on radar looks possible in half hour, but east of there has to be little chance.

Good to see Keighley mentioned! Paul Hudson territory is where I am headed! Bring on the snow when I'm cuddled in by the fire!

Hi Guys.

Well the GFS 12z was just brilliant for Yorkshire, slap bang in the sweet spot for the pivot of the slider.

I know it will probably change next run or maybe not !! but looking at the below charts thats almost 24 hours non stop snow.. no wonder the accumulation charts are showing between 6 and 14 inches ... and at least some snow starved folk darn sarf will be in with a shout as well
