Another dull day, mist in the distance.....total pants weather!

Chance of Wintry showers over the hills in the North over Christmas, potentially stormy for us.

Not ruling out the chance of a cold spell between Christmas & New Year, potentially cold start to the year with a decent shot of snowy Weather.

Rather unexpected, but I'm enjoying a narrow slither of clear sky and sunshine at the moment (10.30). It won't last long :( although it appears other slithers are available! :)

I remember one year somewhere in the 90s when Christmas day was not even cold, just damp and grey and then the very next day we awoke to very deep snow out of nowhere, near Oxford. So it can happen.I don't know if it was forecast as I didn't see any forecasts around the time but the feeling was definately that there would be no snow around that time as it didn't feel like it.

Ooer Foggy this morning and more of a nip in the air. This is more like it. Mild and cloudy is nothing to the troll that is cold and cloudy, it aint gonna snow m'muckas. I actually think it was lighter this morning and you could see the happiness that is the last-day-before-crimbo-hols.

Was lovely watching the snow via reindeer cam while drinking my coffee this morning. :reindeer-emoji:

Let's hope so, I'm up around your way at my folks for Christmas so hope we have a better chance of a least cold frost than here on the coast!

Let's hope we can have a snowball fight :cold-emoji:

Can't believe there's no fog warning for Bedford. Just drove home from there to a village and can barely see more than 5-10 meters.

FID! (Fog In December!) Index ...what does that mean then Lassie :D

It's mighty foggy outside with sun trying to get through and a whopping 3.4c so far with an Easterly breeze flowing. Better than the grey murk of drizzle and 8c of recent days that's for sure :)

Very foggy here this morning, nice to see, though not so good for Heathrow. Not cold though at 7C. Hopefully the sun will break through later.

Well slightly better today, the fog/low cloud has gone, still quite a bit of cloud around but some breaks to allow some sunshine.

Really foggy here in St Albans.

Love it, feels cold and seasonal. Not looking forward to The Atlantic take over next week. This dry weather has been the best, very useable! Dry dog walks / cycling and running.

Wet, windy and mild from next week onwards...

Popped outside and put some lights on the bush out front as you do, wearing a t-shirt and joggers as you do and blimey I didn't feel as if I needed a coat or cardie. Even the back door open it just feels refreshing rather than freezing.

And aye that fog came down really quick from when we came home from swimming. All but gone and there are some breaks in the cloud.

Clear skis when dawn broke.

Been misty/foggy ever since.

Still better than wind and rain...

I can cope with this dull boring weather.

Much cooler today currently 6.5C, the met office app says 9C - fog keeping the temperatures down, lately it has been very misty/murky.

Ah - so good to be able to post what you want when you read the toys out of pram on the Model thread. Sun has been threatening to break through in Winchester but hasn't. 9.8 degrees and not a sniff of wind or rain. Forecast for the next week or so: a bit colder, but still drab early next week; the odd bit of rain and wind later next week, and after that, who knows?

Looks like it's 'handbags at dawn' in the MOD thread, posts are getting "lippy" apparently :D

Think the weather is def getting to some.

Trouble is, it's promised so much and delivered so little.

A bit like Man Utd :D

Been madly busy last few days, catching up with everything after illness and so I haven't been weather watching - was there a fog warning for S Bucks last night? Because I couldn't even see the end of the road this morning and I read flights were cancelled.

Edit: oh sorry, meant to say it's back and it's even worse! No warning??
