Good to see this thread much busier! An interesting day ahead as we get closer to tomorrow's wave (low) of interest.

EURO4 still delivers for some of our region, bit marginal on the coast mind..

still time for change Central & south westerners, and I'd rather streal the snow at the last min that have it stolen from us at the last post!

As for the easterly... the models don't seem so keen today imo and I've decided not to venture into the mod thread on health grounds

Latest BBC looks good for many in the south, upto 10cm

The possible easterly is all good, just a few wrist slashers who couldn't wait for the runs to complete before commenting.

It always makes me laugh as I don't understand as the ppn can dodge us and hit somewhere miles down the road lol. It could be now casting come tomorrow anyway as theres always a chance it may not even reach as far north.

Met Office update this morning goes:

Rain moving eastwards across the south of the UK on Thursday may turn to snow in places.

Whilst this is unlikely, there is a small chance of snow settling with disruption to road, rail and air services as well as interruptions to power supplies and other utilities.

Associated heavy rain and strong winds may prove additional hazards.

No change here then, suggestion is the TV images are slightly over cooked.

Morning all, a mild 6.1c here this morning but quite breezy with it.

Still hope for tomorrow then, fingers crossed :)

This models the snow hanging around further into the night than the BBC, if so maybe a better chance of a more prolonged event.

Wahhhh! What a morning upgrade. Almost choked on the cornflakes! From sleet and rain to now rain and then 6 hours of the white stuff!

And now I see alot more places will hopefully share the fun.

Only concern is that MO/BBC always play safe and over blow any snow potential to make sure everyone is aware what is happening.

In any case this forum is going into meltdown tomorrow!!

Large big flakes will lie as the cold digs in and after dark, stick to everything then freeze...Boooooom

Most likely scenario this far inland as it looks like temps are going to plummet overnight after the 'precipitation'

The unlikely bit makes me laugh. Why issue a weather warning for a flake of snow? Looking ahead I'd say ice will be the problem in my area tomorrow night ( but snow would be nice!)

I think that's the one issued yesterday lunchtime, don't think it's yet been updated to include the latest info. Forecast has changed but the warnings haven't.
