22mm of rain here overnight, nothing impressive really but the difference being that with a northerly wind, all the rain came through the cat flap and flooded the kitchen! Haven't had that happen since 09th March, which was a similar event.

The pressure bottomed out at 965.56 hPa which is a new record.

We had a low back in 2003 I think that was around this sort of pressure +- a couple of hPa.

Not too bad here last night although we ended up with 29.6mm of rain since yesterday lunchtime. Today has been a dull and cold feeling day.

The high temperature was 12.0°C which was during the early hours before dropping back to around 6-7°C for the rest of the day.

33mm total to 09.00 this morning.  For the first time since I can't remember when, we couldn't have our bedroom windows open as the rain was coming in.  They face NE, but shortly before 03.00 we were able to open one enough to get some fresh air.  Can't abide trying to sleep without fresh air.

Devon, Dorset, Somerset, wilts looking at a real soaking through tomorrow. Up to a couple of inches possible in places

What an amazing snow event this could be coming up from the south in midwinter!

I said the same to my wife earlier, only with last nights deluge included to have made it a double whammy.  We're only about 3c too high.

I would be cussing if it was snow.  It was supposed to be heavy rain from 8pm, instead it has been a bit of light drizzle - I'm stuck on the no mans land gap of joy.

2.6c cold rain is the worst insult after 4 years of rubbish winters.

People complaining about lack of snow in the mod thread. They should try living in our region :wallbash:

So far it's missed us, with only 7mm, but opportunity exists over the channel. Some things are more certain, unlike the winter outlook.

I try and stay outta there, because everything is always IF only we were @ 240 hours.....

Clearly, time shifting isn't possible, so we can never be @ 240hours..

30 miles too far east by the look of the radar loop, looks like nailing Weymouth & Dorchester & WELLS !

What a positively vile morning. It's poured all night and it's still hammering down now, sod gardening for today, a day of sewing beckons instead.

If only all those huge raindrops were snowflakes instead. Dream on eh.

Really really nasty morning isn't it! Torrential rain at times on the drive to work along the M5 this morning with a lot of surface water and minor flooding on smaller roads. Only 4.5C too so feeling cold. Just a few degrees lower and bingo!

Another 23mm in the gauge this morning taking the total for the last 48 hours to 56mm.  Stopped for the moment, but still some showery bits lurking to the south.

What a grey dull morning. So glad I don't have to go anywhere today. 19.5mm here since midnight and a small stream running down the garden!
