OK so the temperature fall rate is beginning to bottom out, and has dropped off to -0.4°C/hr, whilst the temperature has now stabilised @ 2.2°C .

Still blobs of sleet/wet snow, and the wind has got a real bite to it.

you've complained in this thread about the model thread (if I've read it right) so, what's the problem?

I've not made a big deal out of it, does it need to be a problem?

certain members seem to be able to post what they like, perhaps a hierarchy of some sort allows that. Others posts are stripped straight off the thread, and quite rightly. Consistency is all one asks for. That's all. No big deal and life most certainly moves on.

Yes the wind is picking up and it's raw! Still sleeting. If we were getting a surprise though, I'm fairly certain we would know about it by now

no, I can assure that there is no hierarchy and no favouritism to any member, we do rely on members reporting posts that might be off topic or bickering. On occasion some posts do slip through the net due to the shear number of posts made combined with the amount of moderators/hosts available to review the threads, you'd be surprised with the amount of posts we have to remove as well as posts reported on a daily basis!........complaining about moderating inconsistencies should not be made in this (or any other) thread, the best way to deal with any issue of this ilk is to either pm a member of the site team and/or report any questionable posts......

Mmmm, sounds good. Having been "out of sorts" over the festive period, everything we bought is still waiting to be eaten. Now let me see, where shall I start?

Toblerone, dark, then fruit & nut, then milk, mmm.

Oh it's hissing down..

Fair enough. Duly noted. I'll happily go back and delete my post. Won't do it again promise

Isn't Jan 14th MIDWINTER (by meteorological reckoning anyway?) that's a safe bet for anything white.

Yup quite a turn around in a few days. I'm still confident of a cold spell at some point though after mid month. Just a hunch.

not sure who it was that mentioned earlier about rarely seeing snow before mid January, but I can vouch for that, only a handful that I remember in my time.

:aggressive: Just a hunch..

I see all in the mod thread :help:

I stay a lurker though as my knowledge isn't up to par with the likes of many in there, maybe in another 5 years time I'll brave it. :D

Evening all. Loving the wintery feel out there. 3c currently but obviously feels a lot colder. Strong wind making our wood burner really drawing rather well. No Picasso though! Ahem. Just rain here note that the higher Moor had had some sleet though. Can't be bothered to go out driving looking for snow tonight not after last night!

Evening all, haven't got a reliable thermometer so had a look on Wunderground, the nearest station to here (roughly half a mile & same height) is reporting 0.3c.with a dew point of -2.4c.  Sodding typical, now it's cold enough, it's dry. Harrumph!
