Well here in the valley of Kilmersdon the temperature did drop rapidly after midnight with calm conditions and a current low of -4.6C. A beautiful start though with gin clear skies.

Not dropping very fast here either tonight.. its just below freezing at -0.2c but halted for a while now.

We recorded our lowest ever temperature here in 2010! I had to cover all the pipe work in my utility room to stop it freezing over!

-2·5.9c. Calm. Clear. Dawn.

You called.....I'm always calm, working on the clear though, waiting for the coffee to kick in :D

What a lovely morning, clear sky, a beautiful orange glow on the horizon and everything white and sparkly outside. My thermometer is ancient and old fashioned but it's telling me it's -3.

It's interesting that the WRF does attempt to pinpoint localised areas

That has me in the coldest bit, definitely a roaring fire night.

-5.0 deg C last night (edge of Warminster). I guess this is what some call 'faux cold'? Cold enough scraping the car!

Very encouraged by IF's update on the long term prospects. It seems a bit like waiting for Christmas, but at least we are in a far far better place than last year. Looking forward to running in the cold tonight!

Lovely morning here cold clear ans crisp feels like proper winter and we're not there yet(just).

Got down to -3.9oC early this morning. Still at -1.2oC now! The joys of a north facing slope :)

Yes I'm pretty certain that I will breach -6C tonight that's providing fog and/or low cloud stays away.

Just been out on the heath, patches of frost looking very scenic. Can't remember the last time we had ice on the ponds up there, and icy patches on the frozen paths. Very autumnal.

Currently: 5.0°C
