So then last Wednesday the BBC suggested a cool weekend but getting mild by the middle of this week. All change 3 nights of heavy frost midweek only hitting 6c high up to Saturday.  Could this cooler colder spell have some legs? Depending who you listen to some say yes majority say no. Interesting times.

I think that all depends on your location. I certainly won't be getting the bunting out over this:

Well purbeck does have a different climate to most and Wareham is a mild spot. :)

Good Morning, a lighter shade of grey here this morning, but nonetheless, still grey :sorry:Looking forward to maybe seeing the Sun at some point this week.

As far as the models go....I have a far more reliable method of forecasting.....my hubby. He bought a big sledge a few years ago - we've had no notable snow since in which to use it. What's he decided to do now....sell his Discovery and revert back to a normal car. I can say with all confidence, we will be snowed in this winter, buried under the stuff :snowman-emoji:

Yep, sun is out here, looking forward to some dry clear frosty weather, really hope the cloud doesn't spoil things later on this week.

Gorgeous day now. The drier air is quite evident given the dew point this morning was 5C and is now just under 0C. Looking forward to the frost forming tonight after a taster earlier in the month.

Well we did manage a partial clearance of the layer of Sc at around 4,500 and have even got a soupcon of small Cu to go with the sunshine. Temp 8.5C and breezy from the ENE. The dreaded inversion that was trapping the Sc

A few degrees lower than that, is possible.

I'll be surprised if it gets below zero here, the winds are likely to stay gusting to 20mph around these parts. Hopeful of a good dew point and windchill though. :)

It's refreshing to see the zero degree line on my graphs..
