November is my wettest month of the year statistically but there is something about this part of November being particularly wet. Even in 2007 which was quite a dry autumn, the period around the 17th-22nd was soggy. 2012 of course had significant rainfall on the 21st-22nd and 24th-25th too. This November is now turning out to be close to average rainfall wise and depending on how much more falls before the high pressure moves in, could climb above normal again.

Met office have now put a wind warning out for my area for overnight into Tuesday morning. Storm will be named then I presume?

I've just emptied 24mm from my gauge for the 2nd consecutive morning.

Although it's drier now I'm giving work a miss and hoping for 4 better mornings to come. Bonus time with my wife and boy!!

What an ugly morning, the rain still coming down albeit light. Apparently there are floods in some parts of Bristol.

For the second half of the week, I thought we had some cold, frosty mornings to look forward to... but that's looking confined to the north. For early December and beyond I'm clutching onto the straw that there's a lot of uncertainty. Hope to see some positivity in the model thread soon.

Not a huge amount of rain overnight, but it is horrendous at the moment. 14mm and counting. Heavy & thundery showers following on, right in to the early hours of tomorrow morning.

Still raining - beginning to look serious flooding wise around here. Axe valley is now on flood alert, all low lying fields and some roads flooded.

Radar showing another hour or two of rain before a temporary clearance, then heavy showers

And as if the relentless rain wasn't enough to make this a thoroughly grim day, we've now got thick fog too. A truly yuk day!

Must be some really deep clouds above us today - the light outside is like 5pm and that rain is really coming down again!

This is some serious rain now, approaching  30mm for today & plenty more to come too.

By my calculations, I think I'll be over 100mm for a seven day period, currently around the 150mm mark for this month.

some brightening in the sky looks like we could see some breaks fairly soon..

That will be ideal for convection for later on. :)

56mm here in the past 48 hours.

Sat at work on my lunch break looking at my weather station, currently reading 34.29mm so far today, and loads more rain to come.

Starting to see many of our local B roads flooding now, as this area is littered with small streams. Apart from a small window, the rain has been relentless. 30mm recorded so far. At least it looks to be drying up later this evening, although showers are still quite likely.

After nearly 15 hours of constant rain, the main front appears to have cleared with showers following on closely behind, so it's STILL raining now!! Vile indeed.

Rain seems to be easing a little now but still coming down. With the prospect of some beefy showers to follow, today will no doubt overtake May 11th as the wettest day of the year here.

The Rivers around here are getting seriously high, just about to exceed Sunday Morning's heights. The River Exe was getting relatively close to the underside of one of the 'tall' bridges.
