I'm sure the showers would be more snowy here today if they weren't tracking further south. Sky has been dark grey to the south all morning while clear to the north.

SS just posted this in the mod for Monday.

If you zoom in, you can see me doing a little dance.

Who knew mid Dorset was a snow hotspot?! :D

So if the forecast changes with the next run and the snow signal goes if we zoomed in what would we then see..............:)

I noticed the bbc graphics looked interesting for Saturday morning for our region next with a few white splodges running through. :search:

Hardly any showers around today at all.

Netweather forecast shows torrential ppn on Monday afternoon/ evening with 20% chance of snow too..

Interesting,  thought by Monday we'd be out the game for any such snow. Its got my locale down for 30% chance with princetown 60%. Which model do NW get their forecasts from?

Looking a bit breezy early on Sunday, 60mph possible on the exposed coastline, particularly Sussex and Kent, further inland, perhaps 40mph gusts, other than that, it is pretty short lived, with the Southern flank reserving the strongest winds for France. Rainfall totals still looking hazardous though..

Fairly sunny today, bit of a wind chill though.

Temp: 7.1°C - Hum: 78% - Dew: 3.6°C - Wchill: 4°C - Bar: 997.77hPa - Wind: W ~ WNW @ 7mph.

Finally, some interesting Weather. :drunk-emoji: prefer snow and Ice days, but a good proper storm is a close 2nd for me

Great to hear people are getting to see something a bit wintery this early.:D

Hopefully this bodes well for winter. This year's model watch has been fascinating so far. Keeping me entertained after knee surgery!

Could have sworn I saw snow on the Mendip summit from the M5 earlier this afternoon against the black sky behind, albeit scattered.

Dry and mostly sunny here with a cold breeze making it feel much colder than what what the temperature. The high was 8.2°C and currently it's 6.9°C.

Yet another heavy rain/hail shower in progress at the moment. I have to say the lat two days have been totally forgettable.

What is it with the area around here, that the incoming rain today has just evaporated. Watched the radar from 08:00 today and told the missus "Don't put the washing out, looks like rain". It evaporates before it get's this far East and is still doing so, we have a great big open "NO RAIN" area across us..

Short range NetWx model has fallen in line now. The rain totals are more consistent with other models in terms of how widespread they are, and also the wind gusts.

Been sleeting up here for an hour or so but no sign of it turning  Temperature is still a smidge too high. 2.1c I expect it will be cold enough by end of night if we have any decent showers left around by then.

Tonight was the coldest carnival I've been to for a while.. and the wettest. Looking like wales may have a snowy surprise on Sunday morning, I wonder if there maybe a southward adjustment in the next 24hours..
