Just had a look in the mod thread and it looks like Midlands looks best for the snow. Accumulation of nothing for us lol.

Valleys etc may do well but lower levels and coast may b knife edge for us but we all get it

Should have a better chance living in Caerphilly. Since buying the house back last year we've had no snow lol.

complicated set up Jay - snow could come at short notice from anywhere - we'll certainly get a better chance to know 24 hours out or an idea!

Ok if you live inland i guess

we need a beasterly or heavy duty mid winter northerly to get temps down for guaranteed coastal snow but it's not impossible even with what we have now

I'd say Caerphilly is in with a good shout for snow. Its a natural bowl so seems to have its own weather system. Used to live on a farm there and when it snows, it really snows.

There all Bias in there that's why. They don't like sharing and they want the full monty in the own backyards. As soon as they see a smudge of snow in our area they bang on about its going more east on the next run. Suck it up Mod thread its prime for most of Wales and we love to share some of our snow with Ireland and scoooootland, you however can have the deposits of slush. Wales is looking sweet for snow.

Showers definitely turning wintry here in north west Wales - I'm currently about 207m  above sea level near Llanberis and we're just having some showers of heavy sleet / snowflakes mixed in. Temperatures down to 2.1C with the humidity at 91%, giving us a dew point of 0.8C

Breaking news!   These snow depth charts for Monday morning 28th December just out on GFS:

Wintry showers here this morning with snow and sleet / Cawodydd gaeafol fan hyn bore ma!

Question for the Mods! Could we please have a shiny new regional thread now? This one has been going for years and takes longer to load as it is currently 395 pages long.

Could you open another one and close this one and call the new one 'Wales/Cymru Regional Thread'

Diolch yn fawr :D

either concentrating on storm Bella or don't want to get too wrapped up in the more complex set up for next week - who sees snow and who doesn't etc

My Welsh netweather friends hope you are all safe and well.

Looking interesting for snow chances in the next few weeks to come so heres hoping we get some decent snow chances. We could all do with a bit of white magic to cheer us up

In the short term Saturday night looking particularly wet and stormy with some very strong and damaging winds possible!

Stay safe out there folks
