Looks to be dying down here in Cardiff now and on radar, hoping we get some more but not really sure where it will come from aha

Ye we’re hoping for the heavier precip over the bristol area to transfer west but not sure it is going too atm. Nice little line of heavier precip beginning to form to the east of Cardiff but will it move all the way...

Isn't it intensifying 2am?

According to UKV last update it was but can’t see it happening looking at radar currently. Here’s hoping it will although probably time for me to go anyway ?  looking forward to seeing it in daylight!

Radar looking quite dire now for any further heavier bursts of snow. However it looks to be faulty because it’s still snowing outside in Cardiff with some moderate bursts which is not what the radar is showing!

Light snow adding to the couple of inches on the ground.. a snow day for me, not prepared to attempt the drive to Cardiff for work, not sure whether we're open yet anyway, site is being assessed..

School closed so a double legitimate snowday ?

Ended up with a nice dusting of a couple cms, but didn't get much after I went to sleep it appears. Has been lovely to see and definitely sorted my snow fix for the time being!

That precip to the east of Cardiff and Newport is just sitting there and has done all night. So so close to it but doesn’t want to make that final push.

To me it looks

like the main band out through England is heading north westwards and pivoting back through Bristol and south east wales?? What’s everyone’s thoughts?

Some may clip the extreme south east but will eventually start to slide away south east now.

One of those occasions where altitude didn't really matter. We got about 3 inches in Brynmawr, same as most places. It snowed from 4pm yesterday and was heavy at times, but the flakes were so small. Snow is very dry and blowy. All schools in Blaenau Gwent are closed today.
