Absolutely filthy weather outside, strong wind from north hurling hail, rain and sleet against the windows. Not looking forward to the Stormy Norm Sunday walk

Tuesday brings the potential for some disruptive snow. After something of a respite on Wednesday, further transient snow is likely on Thursday. Widespread, perhaps severe overnight frosts, and ice likely.

Ye a tricky situation Tuesday. I’d say we’re well in the game but too uncertainty at the moment. 

I think the warning area will expand between now and Tuesday.

The later the front arrives the better for us. That’s what to look for next couple of runs.

We could actually do with a shift south of the low because as someone has just posted in mod thread, the precip is way north of the low pressure anyway so a shift south wouldn’t hurt and would decrease the marginal situation.

Andy a more organised band of showers moves across Wales around dawn could give a covering across Wales.Brandythemole,remember it only allowed to snows in London.

Still 12 degrees here,sun shining but bitterly cold with that wind,can see temps dropping rapidly when the sun disappears,fingers crossed for some showers !  Good luck everyone!

Don't think it's 12 degrees anywhere in the UK currently. Hopefully we see snow.

Ye looks like that shower will reach but 6.9c here now. Would be rain if it does even if temp does drop in the shower.

skys gone black to my north west - huge flakes of snow - mini blizzard still lol

well loads of snow falling today and looks like more to come - too warm to stick right now - if the shower activity continues after the sun goes down that might change but I have a feeling the sun is helping to convect these showers along with the mountains it seems

sorry - lol - here we go again - oh dear more snow - normally the beacons suck the life out of the showers but today they seem to be whizzing by faster so maybe keeping together for longer and being pepped up a lot too

yes I seem to be in the "sweet spot" today and more forming behind that - if the ground had been colder would have a couple of cms by now
