Guess that leaves us @Strumble Head Lighthouse out this time :oldsorry:

don't think ya gonna miss out with the depth of cold shown - those are computer estimations - you'll see some snow I've no doubt - and if we get an atlantic front bumping up against some frigid cold air over us could be right down to the sea on all coasts in wales

met office news release

Cold weather is now affecting most of the UK and there are strong signals this could last well into February bringing a range of winter hazards including widespread frosts, ice and snow.

these are some choice charts from the gfs 6z - lets see if the 12z can do any better (or hopefully not worse)

Monday night

Tuesday

Wednesday

That's a good start - with the severe cold in - snow could then turn up at anytime

Let's see what the 12zs can bring

Snow lasted longer than expected today stuck very easily this morning and even drifting on the yard/lanes roof...a slight covering.

Today has exceeded my expectations, winter has broke its duck 1.9c max coldest day so far in a Sly could you make that up no.

Yes never seen model outputs as good as this in 40 years of model watching.after the initial attack from the West with active weather system very slowly moving west to east across Wales(possiblystalling front) providing heavy snow Monday night into Tuesday. We then get a bitter North East normally dry wind but this different with LPressure sending pulses of snow moving east west across  Wales .FANTASTIC winter weather.ANDY send in the Huskies!!!!!

So is it defo going to happen @andymusic?  And possible timescales.  Madmod  thread in snow heaven meltdown, feel safest asking here.

Been snowing on and off all day here but sleety now.

Monday night/Tuesday/Wednesday - quite a lot of snow all over Wales - get prepped - and then locked into the cold or extreme cold afterwards with more snow - possibly even 1980s style dumpings
