I would love to see some early snow settling as much as anyone, but I can't see it happening this week tbh.  With maximum 850s of 4-5 I don't see snow falling anywhere in Wales outside Snowdonia and the Brecons, let alone settling.  This is what the ICON shows for the next few days - not really cold enough:

I personally think we're on the cusp of something dramatic shortly - with all the blocking it can't be long before we hit the jackpot and the cold flows in along with the snow - it's just around the corner lol

Funny how calm it is here a bit inland compared to when i was at the coast where i measured a wind gust of 24mph.

Only been here for a week in southwest wales and its definitely colder today. Weather behaves a bit differently as well compared to how it was in the southwest.

very very cold out now - and sleety/iciness in the air here

You should get a slush by morning interesting to see more areas of precipitation turning to sleet snowing in more elevated areas.

I reckon a good chance to see some falling snow tomorrow morning across mid wales and south east wales. Higher up the better of course, but do think early on that even lower levels could see a wet snow mix.

Possibly some sleet/wet snow in Cardiff first thing.

Further you go inland much more likely of seeing some falling before it “warms” up in the afternoon.

Had to put a coat on going out for a cigarette earlier, so knew it was time to get back on here. In @Jayfromcardiff's absence so far... snow chances in Cardiff tomorrow?

I laughed someone off earlier when they suggested snow tomorrow- who knows? What's most interesting at the moment is the overall patterns. Could be in for something this winter- feeling it. Although I was feeling it in 2013/14 too...

I'm back, will it snow in Cardiff? Probably not this winter.
