Pretty poor in llanharan. Still see the grass roads clear and no heavy snow yet. Cars aren't even covered

It's weird looking at the traffic flows on google maps.  Practically every road is coloured orange.

If people dont believe that cardiff has had it bad have a look at the cameras on the busy A470 and the roads covered and that takes a fair bit of snow to do that on one of the busiest roads in south wales.   Traffic-Wales.com

Worse to come. M5 closed and M4 lookking dodgy in places too according to the radio.

Few hours till the heavier stuff hits us and it looks a slower system than forecast, also Southampton area seams to have the heaviest precipitation so seems to b further east but hopefully will start to move back towards us

I think it's based on traffic speed not traffic density. Any cars on the roads SHOULD be moving slowly so orange. Simples!

It’s a lot worse in Cardiff clearly but most cars not covered here either. It’s powder snow with 50mph winds it will just blow about and off cars and roofs. That’s what happens in the blizzards.

regarding the snow, nowhere near the heavy stuff yet. Not supposed to be the heavy stuff until between 8pm and 11pm. Give it time....

Am in Llanharan dude. What I see on the radar is the heavy precip hits the south coast of wales and dissipates before it hits us. You can see it happening on netweather radar

This is a more accurate radar ignoring some of the noise and just flurries on the other radars. Shows a more true reflection and you can see that a lot of areas missing out still.

but just look to our south, that’s what coming. Was only supposed to be light snow until 7/8pm. We have just been so lucky in cardiff

I think the warning is justified. It really is wild here in Tredegar.  Between the rate of snow (powdery stuff) coming down and the wind whipping it up and the -7c temperature, it's dangerous out there. If it gets worse than this.....aw eck!
