So it seems now there has been a shift north of the upper cold pool and subsequent instability. I did say it would need to move around 100 miles north to bring more of us into the game here in Wales.

That now seems to be the case with some people experiencing snow depths of over 20cms in the SE of England in particular.

Where does this leave us?

Well my feelings are now that anywhere south of mid wales could well have falling snow that could accumulate. The further south and east the better the opportunity. I see that even Cardiff is again covered by the warning zone.

So in the past 24 hours things have certainly got more interesting with a fragmenting cold front coming westwards on sat that could produce a little snow particularly with elevation, then over night and into Sunday the latest fax chart show a Channel low with associated trough across SE Wales which could produce more extensive and disruptive snow.

So those areas that were hit two weeks ago look likely to get more of the white stuff over the weekend, albeit not with the intensity or severity that we had then.

However it's a fluid situation and I expect there to be a few surprises (and disappointments) for us in Wales and I expect a few amber warnings issued especially in the east and south east of England for sat night into Sunday.

Lets see how it plays out but there are very interesting times ahead

The snowdrifts are waiting for more snow, might very well see some more drifting from this, nothing like last time though, but its a bitter easterly once again.

Am I the only one who finds these 'feels like' temperatures a load of cobblers?:D

I was out on the last day in Feb and it 'felt like -4C with a near gale-force wind'...It was, in fact, -5C!:cc_confused:

I've never got it!

I may have brought a snow shield from Tiverton (Devon) where I used to live. Literally nothing settled after the 2013 cold spell, annoying that once you begin to understand the processes of snow it doesn't ever fall much where you live...

0c with no wind feels like 0c.

March 1st at -5c with an easterly gale felt like -20c with sideways drifting blinding blizzard and snow falling as the side of my face had frozen, not felt anything as extreme as that before.

Telegram for mongo telegram for mongo !

Derek just sent me a telegram saying the mumbles blizzard is back on for 0900-1100 hours on Sunday .

I don’t know why as I told him last time I was cancelling my ”Degsys weather updates “ subscription to go with Andymusics service .

Poor Degsys trying as hard as he can but telegrams ff sake what’s the point ??

I checked the BBC weather app and sure enough it was there.

Can someone ring Verdis and let them know as I think i am banned from there now , but still want to be helpful and warn people .

Andy you didn’t warn me about the mumbles blizzard ?

is my subscription not active yet or is it just nonsense from Degsy ?
