I'm at 78m ...lol got about 2 cm atm

Yes, 2-3 cm here too. The interesting thing is that while the main band is moving slowly into Mid Wales (only for a time, before it pivots and moves back into South Wales later tonight), there are still plenty of showers and dribs of drabs of precipitation moving in our direction. The fact that it's snowing as low down as Caerphilly town, Pontardawe and Pontypridd shows that temperatures are lower than expected (evaporative cooling, perhaps?) so there's every chance that this could turn into an unexpected and early snowfall event as the night goes on.

Just went over the mountain and a dusting up there and snowing. Still snowing at The travellers rest coming into Thornhill. Then sleety rain there downwards. Didn’t think the snow line would be as low as it has been so far

Not sure it's going to settle here though, typical the only time I don't want snow as we're having a new boiler fitted tomorrow lol.

Snowed for a good hour here, a light covering on everything, roads included.. surprising considering how much surface water there was.  Stopped now, but think we may have a bit more through the night.. hoping so anyway!

Well a very interesting drive from Cwmbach to Merthyr. Well didn’t make it to Merthyr lol

Turned round too many abandoned vehicles

ironically the most snow we have had this year and it’s still autumn

at around 600’ theres a good 5cms and I’m guessing much more higher up

For anyone awake at this unholy hour, the band is now creeping back south and is actually re-intensifying a little as it goes. I'm a bit surprised to see the snow which fell earlier has turned to ice while a thick fog has also descended. It certainly feels like mid-Winter rather than mid-Autumn.

Just stayed as sleety rain here last night but 5 miles up the road in Maesteg they had a nice covering of snow!

Lovely cold rain now with a temp of 5c and a fair breeze, hope to get my shot at my first snowfall soon!

Quite surprising  no snow for you snow extent quite wide from neath to Pontadawe to low lying areas.

Yes but looks like the upper air is less cold here as I`ve just wondered why well for earlier anyway getting colder this afternoon.
