Oakdale primary closing at 1:30 too

This really annoys me .. teachers and caretakers / parents should be out scraping paths and driveways etc .. it should be expected that parents teachers etc will contribute - get up earlier - shovels out there is no need to close everything after a few inches of snow .

Extra council tax for those that don’t muck in

It doesn’t take long to clear a path or driveway once you have many hands at work .

Get stuck in , work off that Christmas gut , graft and keep things moving ...

Temp rising steadily ..now 1.7c here in Rhoose, more likely a rain/sleet event for me on the coast

Keep the faith Phantom2.  It’s been very icy just a mile or so inland near Penmark and you did ok last March.

It was so icy in the country lanes that two cars crashed (luckily with no serous injuries) near me this morning and the ice at the bottom of the valley is thick. I think the snow will settle and, away from a beach, we’ll all be in luck.

Unfortunately due to health and safety no one other than the caretaker can help clear and all doors exits and pathways must be clear including car parks,a lot of work for one caretaker !

Lol theres a distant memory ! The year 2000

Indeed do you remember a user called Armosferic (or could be ph...) I use to watch that board with all "the will it snow in my backyard posts", happy days. Might have been 1999 for me so 20 years ago where does the time go?

Tricky one for Parents who are not able to leave work on the threat of snow though - most of us that would be I'm guessing

Temp seems to have levelled a bit at 3.1C for a while, hopefully won't rise anymore now, not sure when exactly temps are expected to drop back but hopefully will start happening soon as precip isn't far away and I don't fancy too much rain/sleet before then snow!
