Looking great for you ladies and gents tomorrow/Friday while we in Scotland get nothing for the rest of the week! ☹️

Hope it delivers big time for you all - looking forward to seeing the pictures!

Have a good one! ☃️❄️

Nice covering of snow couple of centimeters, icy but main roads clear.  So that’s been snow in November and three falls of snow in January, so happy with that.  Enjoy Thursday’s snow mid and south waleans. Met office restricting our area to one flake only....❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

Yes Steve, SE facing hills look primed for some big totals.

Looking a little marginal still for Cardiff on the coast but is always the case however confident with the corrections that we’ll be ok even here.

If you're in the city centre then it may be marginal but you won't have to go far inland for the snow, I'm in Thornhill they've forecast quite a lot of heavy snow tomorrow.

Does anyone have a rough guess when this should start happening tomorrow? I'm ok to get back up valleys from Cardiff with work as I finish when I want. My daughter works until 3pm so planning problems! Is it midday start or earlier?

I know it's not set in stone Steve, are there any timings when this might kick off?

I’m no Steve Murr, but I’m expecting the first flakes to flitter out of the sky around midday.

Almost certain that the met office will give an Amber warning for you guys some point soon. For the rest of us, yellow suffices. Models are moving away from some of the extreme totals earlier forecast, but still plenty snowy for sure!

Had a bonus extra white over from a couple of showers, could well get more showers through the day now.

Coldest night of the winter impressive -3.7c off a westerly.

That will make up for lost time. Most of us in Wales are yet to see our first snowfall of the winter! Only the higher ground has been lucky so far :oldgood:

Lol -

But early estimates

cardiff ~3pm

So wherever people are in relation to there..

What do you guys think personally about the risk of sleety mix in Cardiff City Centre?

ECM has a bit more of a mix on the coast but Euro4 looks steady and the best output for us in the city. Sod’s law the city is right at sea level next to the sea.

thankfully the fetch over Bristol Channel is quite small too.

I'm pretty sure it'll snow.

After all the correction plus intensity the worst case scenario is sleet at the very start as the snow cools the air ..

Not really worried about type of precipitation even for Swansea if it started at 11am slightly worried 4pm sounds good 5pm even betterlol Brisk wind from the east will help.

Hopefully the strong easterly wind doesn’t prevent Swansea getting in on the act like last time.

Here in Ystalyfera it's also been a stunning crisp winters morning. A shower passing over now with some nice flakes falling and sticking on the hard icy ground.

Yes it is heading north a bit but won't get far enough for us unfortunately by the looks of things unless a miracle happens.

Had plenty of snow here this morning though maybe a couple of inches so I'm happy with that.
