Wet and still 4C so not cold enough for snow here, but the taller hills behind me have gone white on the tops.

ain't over yet - still 1 - 2 months to go and they are the ones that usually provide the goods

I really hope your right Andy but after so much promise and so many let downs I've lost all hope for the rest of this winter.

those easterlies that kicked hard last year and provided 7ft drifts were on 1st March - so a little while to go yet - while I'm not suggesting we'll get the same again a year later - you never quite know what might be behind the next bend in the road

think this ssw science is still in it's embryonic stages of understanding - and that's what has been egging everyone on to think it was gonna be amazing to this point - which as you've stated - so far it's fallen short - but still have all of feb to go through as yet and potential snowy march

Exactly..as was my point....hasn't delivered yet

A rash of sleet and snow showers beginning to move in from the Irish Sea now anywhere could get one by the looks of it as temps begin dropping behind the front

Not sure what to make of Thursday are we going to be just on the wrong side of things again but its going to be a close one.

Models can't seem to agree on track and temps so its difficult to predict may just have to wait and see.

Still 3.6C - I think I have some kind of thermal hot spot under my location keeping it forever warm in winter and activating my snow shield

I hope Thursday doesn't become a miss, I'll cry! Honestly think our chances are much better for Thursday than they were for today! But I may have just ruined it.
