Looking at the radar that seems to be the last of it.

yep I've no idea what the nutters at the met office are going on about - clearly they are suffering from a touch of the degsy disease - cocking up on a regular basis lol

Stopped ‘proper snowing’ here, but a vicious wind.  Every now and then a snowstorm whizzes past the window, then you realise the wind is whipping powder snow off trees, rooves and hillsides, and we’ve got little snow devils whirling up.  So time to step away from the log burner and plunge with mad spaniels into powder snow drifts.  ?

HIRLAM has the northern edge of precipitation coming out of Belgium brushing the south of Wales overnight tonight- nothing spectacular though. And HIRLAM did seem to overestimate precipitation today too.

Seasonal weather required has been temporarily banned from net weather for being a complete tool .

Let this be a warning to all that you can run but you cannot hide .

We will find you and we will punish you .

Unlikely now to be anything in Swansea (at least giving decent depth), with limited covering overnight now almost fully melted. Bravo to ARPEGE & EURO4 for its correct predictions. Thhe band is weakening already so HIRLAM looks somewhat wrong.

Lol  heavy snow over Swansea for  the last 30 minutes bit of a streamer setting up.

Looking ahead too, no sign of true Spring for at least 2/3 weeks, with Easter weekend potentially the next place to look for more snow/ wintryness. Personally, I'd be happy if it's warmer by then, as I'm due to head out to Spain to see my dad for Easter, so don't want any delayed flights etc.

Anyway, March 2018 will go down as my favourite winter so far (:p) IMBY at least! Just wish those out west had got in on the fun too!

Snow was heavier for a while, gone lighter and finer again now but has given a recovering to the wet cars and some of the roofs. Ground is too wet now for any covering though. Got just under an inch of snow on the garden table and grass though has thawed a bit. Temp has dropped back down to 0.3C which is nice to see.

Moderate snow here for the past hour or so, given a fresh 1cm covering on the grass/cars. Not settling on paths/pavements. Any lying snow will thaw quite quickly when it moves away to the South West.

Yes the forecast a few days ago didn`t mention a word about severe drifting which we have once again, blizzards like early in the month.

Easterly gales are back with avengence.

Snowing all last night and today near Cardiff airport. Same ground up melt that others have noted but a thaw-freeze with fresh snow due continually into the early hours will make the rural roads treacherous.

So is that just about it for snow for us from this spell now?

Hopeful for some more tonight but track uncertain. Keep an eye on how it develops on radar. Further north the better.

Just got back into the Valleys from Newquay drive was fine even dropped into Tesco and got some bread on the way home. Pretty spectacular scenery on the way home to be honest but Carmarthen is an odd place, blizzards and snow covered fields for most of the way but Carmarthen absolutely nothing not even a flake on the windscreen.

Afternoon All :D

We currently have a powder snow 'blizzard' at the moment in Pembroke and actually trying to stick!!!

Grass is slowly turning white again... I'm not expecting it to last more than half hour though according to the radar...

Not sure what’s going on with my account , anyway ....

hope your right ! And that really is all .

Fleeting spells of lying snow to a minimal depth no good.

Yes they count as “ snow days “ but who cares about snow day statistics if they were not useable .

If it snows it needs to be physically useable snow .

Physically Useable = make a snowman out of it , sledge on it , ski on it , also it needs to stop you getting to work .

09,10,13 pass .

11,12,14,15,16,17 fail .

Still an outside shot at a cold sourced NNW but otherwise it’s time to get back out on the bike , boat , and generally warm ish weather outdoor training for a few tri events , a bit sea swimming etc .

20-23 degrees , light sea breeze ,start down in mumbles early on the day ,walk around the coast path popping into a few of the cafes for light refreshments , wave to the seals near Langland ,maybe a bottle of Boli ? or two then either walk back or taxi if you can’t handle the ?, fantastic ,who needs to go abroad .
